The Serif model is aimed at those who want an exceptional TV and make a real “design statement” in the living room. The design is very original and looks like a Roman “I” with serifs when viewed from the side. Hence the name. From the front, the TV has more of a picture frame shape and makes an elegant impression. The Serif TV was designed by the two French designer brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.

“With the Serif TV, we wanted to break away from the idea that a TV has to be ultra-flat. Instead, it is an object that can be turned over and manipulated. It can be placed anywhere, even on the floor, with its own legs. What we were looking for was a solid presence that would fit naturally into different environments, like an object or a piece of furniture”

The Serif has to do without the art gallery feature that The Frame is equipped with. In return, however, it has Ambient Mode, another “pause mode” from Samsung. This can display various decorative patterns, wallpapers in combination with calendar and clock, or an image that adapts to the wall at home.
